The continued growth and success of APS throughout Australia has seen the coding and marking company appoint a new state manager for Victoria. With a growing number of customers within the state and increasing interest from manufacturers in their core product, there was strong justification for APS to appoint a state manager on a fulltime basis.

Their maintenance free coder, apsolute, is proving successful results across the food packaging industries. In particular, Victorian egg producer, Kinross Farm who has an Apsolute TIJ printer installed to print best before dates on egg cartons. Kinross Farm upgraded their coding system in 2008 from a manual sticker application system to the Apsolute thermal inkjet printer. Devastated by the Victorian bushfires in 2009, Kinross rebuilt their grading floor once again installing the Apsolute.
Kinross Farm Grading Manager, Stacey Kingwill makes particular note of the reliability and low ink consumption of the Apsolute. Running 10,000 cartons per day, Stacey could not be happier with roughly 700,000 prints per 42ml cartridge – he notes the cost per print is so small, it is difficult to measure. The apsolute system installed at Kinross is saving the egg facility approx half a person per line in labour and ensuring an accurate, clear and precise print application. He also commends the trouble free operation and the ease of use for operators to change the best before date information.
