Diageo has unveiled its limited edition 2020 Special Releases Single Malt Scotch Whisky Collection, consisting of eight cask strength single malt Scotch whiskies, drawn from some of Scotland’s most recognised distilleries.
The collection was inspired by the global theme of “Rare by Nature” and was curated by master blender Dr Craig Wilson. Wilson said his choices were selected from some of his favourite Scottish producers and with whiskey enthusiasts in mind.
Among the collection is Pittyvaich, from the Speyside ghost distillery, a rare Highland expression of Dalwhinnie matured in refill hogshead casks filled in 1989 and Talisker which is finished in pot-still Caribbean rum casks.
The assortment of single malts, which come with intricately designed labels, aims to highlight the diverse range of products under the Diageo banner.
The collection was released on March 29 and is available in limited quantities at most airports and specialist retailers across Australia.
