Food products recalled after metal fragments found

Australian consumers could get a nasty surprise when they sit down to eat dinner tonight, following an announcement by McCain Foods that it has recalled a batch of its frozen meal products because they could contain metal fragments.

Affected Stir Fry Vegetables Pasta Alfredo were available for sale at supermarkets only since January 11 2008.

McCain has sent a direction to all stores to remove all affected stock from sale. Customers affected will receive a full refund at the expense of McCain.

McCain is taking this action as part of its commitment to provide high quality products to its customers and apologizes to customers for any inconvenience caused.
