US manufacturer of vitamin and supplement based foods, Hero Nutritionals, has launched the world’s first multivitamin dark chocolates.
Hero’s Healthy Indulgence dark chocolate range contains 60 per cent cocoa and a variety of vitamins and nutrients.
According to Founder and CEO Jennifer Hodges of Hero Nutritionals, the new range is targeted at the health-conscious female market.
"Our goal was to develop the most premium supplement for women that makes taking vitamins enjoyable and satisfies chocolate cravings without guilt," Ms Hodges said.
"This product is truly a breakthrough in the supplement marketplace because of its incredible cocoa quality and fine-tuned blend of vitamins, botanicals, and nutrients, making them completely natural and utterly indulgent."
The Healthy Indulgence product range includes:
Daily Wellness: A vanilla flavoured dark chocolate consisting of multivitamins and minerals such as folic acid, niacin, and vitamins A, B-12, C, D and E.
Slender Nutrition: Marketed as a “weight management solution,” this cappuccino flavoured chocolate contains the appetite suppressant, WellTrim®, and vitamins B-6 and B-12.
Bone Wise: This dark chocolate, consisting of calcium and vitamin D, is a supplement for bone health.
Tranquility: Marketed as a product for “stress release,” this blueberry flavoured chocolate consists of valerian root, chamomile and vitamin C.
