Major food trade show for Port Macquarie

As a major hub for the mid north coast region, Port Macquarie has been selected to host the upcoming Foodservice Industry Association (FIA) Tradeshow.

To be held on Tuesday 18 October at Panthers Port Macquarie, the show is intended to provide regional chefs, caterers and food buyers the chance to meet face-to-face with over 50 of the top food, beverage and equipment manufacturers and suppliers from all over Australia.

The trade only event is expected to bring visitors and exhibitors in their hundreds to Port Macquarie for this one day only event. One of the biggest drawcards for the event is the opportunity for regional chefs and hospitality professionals to meet the same suppliers as their city-based counterparts.

“I suppose one of the best things about the FIA regional tradeshows is the opportunity to come and meet the people behind the ingredients that chefs and hospitality workers use every day,” said FIA Treasurer Brian Elton.

With sampling and product demonstrations, the trade only show is the ideal opportunity to see and try the newest and most interesting foodservice products, plus gain inspiration for menus.  It is also a good chance to explore emerging trends in the food industry, by talking to the manufacturers and makers who supply it.

“Of course, the greatest opportunity for chefs is to get around and get some inspiration for their next menu. You can’t put a price on that,” Elton continued.

Businesses who are exhibiting on the day include manufacturers and distributors of brands such as Lion, Mrs Macs, Primo Smallgoods, Robot Coupe, Bakers Maison, Mission Foods and many more.
