A new range of wrap kits from Australian fresh food manufacturer Mrs Crocket’s Fast and Fresh.
Available in Mexican Bean, Tandoori Chicken, Chicken and Mayonnaise, and Curried Egg the ready-to-assemble 195 gram kits come packaged with tortillas fresh leafy salad and a flavoursome filling, perfect for a healthy and convenient meal on-the-go.
Mrs Crocket’s business development and innovation manager, Shelley Davidson, said the wrap kits were the latest in the manufacturer’s extensive range of convenience offerings.
“Fulfilling the growing demand for tasty, wholesome, easy to prepare meal solutions for the increasingly time poor consumer is the impetus for the development of this convenience range and we believe we have created a superior product,” she said.
“In the past ready-made wraps and sandwiches have disappointed consumers due to a lack of quality, freshness and taste and we have invested a considerable amount of time and money into developing the flavour profiles and packaging of our wrap range to exceed customer expectations. We even utilised extensive consumer testing to confirm the final variants to take to market.”
Made in Australia with the freshest ingredients the wraps are a great source of protein and with an in store shelf life of five days Davidson said the kits were a more practical stock option for retailers.
“The fillings are each individually packaged so the ingredients stay fresher for longer making them a better alternative to pre-packaged sandwiches and other frozen or shelf stable ready-to-eat products.
“The products provide retailers with a great option for expanding their offerings in the health and convenience market and driving more customers to the stores.”
Mrs Crocket’s new wrap kits will be available in supermarkets and independent grocers nationally from October 2008.
Mrs Crocket’s also has a range of ready-to-eat pre-prepared salads, pastas and soups available in its convenience product line. It is Australia’s largest manufacturer of prepared salads and chilled soups.
