Golden Pig and Co has launched four new flavours of gluten free and allergy friendly dumplings in Australia.
The dumplings were created so that those without dietary requirements also enjoy the new range.
Co-founder, Erika Chan said the company wanted to create food that was healthy, nutritious, delicious and allowed those with allergies and intolerances to dine normally.
The husband and wife duo who own the company are no strangers to allergies and intolerances, as their youngest daughter, Jordyn was born with multiple, life threatening allergies.
They knew for Jordyn’s health, their peace-of-mind, and their sanity, there had to be a better way.
They spent next seven years, re-educating themselves on all aspects of the food chain.
With their new-found knowledge, both Jordyn and their family’s health improved.
“We went to trade shows and listened to the consumers and retailers. They’re all seeking clean and fresh ingredients, easy meals with nutritious values,” said Chan.
“We think it is important to remind people that clean ingredients benefit our bodies. We wanted to make our product more accessible, so we can offer options that can be shared with the whole family,” said Chan.
The new frozen dumpling range flavours include chicken and lemongrass, beef and ginger, pork and spring onion, tofu and shiitake mushroom.
They are currently stocked in NSW, QLD, VIC, and SA, TAS at independent grocers and boutique grocery stores.
