Multinational Italian dairy and food corporation, Parmalat has announced its purchase of Western Australian dairy and fruit juice company, Harvey Fresh.
Although Parmalat (who owns Pauls dairy brand and Vaalia yoghurt) has not released financial details of the deal, the firm said that it has plans to turn Harvey Fresh into a “fully national player” in the Australian market, news.com.au reports.
Harvey Fresh was established in the town of Harvey, South of Perth in 1986 and is Western Australia’s second largest dairy producer.
The company currently employees 250 people across two production facilities and supplies both milk and fruit juice to WA and NSW.
