Patrón launches XO Cafe Dark Cocoa Tequila in Australia

Patrón Tequila is launching the Patrón XO Cafe Dark Cocoa premium liqueur in Australia just in time for the 2013 summer.

Following strong success of the liqueur in the United States, Patrón is looking to reinforce the brand's position as the leading ultra-premium tequila with its latest offering, which is a combination of Patrón Silver Tequila, high quality coffee and pure cocoa.

Distributed by Southtrade International, Patrón XO Cafe Dark Cocoa delivers a light essence of coffee combined with a decadent chocolate flavour, making it ideal for cocktails, after dinner drinks, or added to dessert recipes. The liqueur is quite versatile and delivers a dry taste which is not sweet, unlike many other coffee liqueurs.

The liqueur uses the high quality Criollo variety of chocolate which is produced in Mexico’s Tabasco region and the coffee originates from the Mexican states of Veracruz and Chiapas.

 “Patrón XO Cafe has always been one my proudest achievements,” said Francisco Alcaraz, Patrón’s master distiller who created the recipe for the entire line of Patrón tequilas and liqueurs. “And, I’m very excited to present Patrón XO Cafe Dark Cocoa, an elegant spirit with a precise, balanced blend of Patrón tequila, coffee and rich chocolate that took several years to perfect.”
