Ramsbury launches spirits range at Dan Murphy’s across Australia

Ramsbury

UK spirits brand Ramsbury has launched in Australia via its distributor, Highball Brands, listed with Dan Murphy’s.

The Ramsbury Estate, located in rural Wiltshire, is made up of 19,600 acres of farmland where the production process for the brand’s gin and vodka is undertaken, from field to bottle.

With its brewery built in 2004 to maximise the Horatio wheat grown on the farm, Ramsbury then produced its first bottle of single estate spirit in 2015. Using a bespoke 43-plate copper column still utilising steam generated from a bio-mass boiler, fed by Ramsbury’s sustainable woodland, the spent grains are fed to the farms animals and wastewater is cleaned by a wildlife-friendly reed bed system.

This process produces high quality spirits while leaving a lower environmental impact on the land.

Ramsbury’s committed, sustainable approach means they can closely monitor each part of production, from carefully selecting the precise field from which to pick the wheat to sourcing the finest chalk filtered water to work with.

“We can’t wait to bring Ramsbury to the Australian market and feel our backstory and commitment to the environment will resonate with consumers,” Ramsbury global export manager Max Steffenson said.

“Having worked with Highball Brands in the UK, we feel their expertise and network are best placed for helping us reach this new audience.”

Highball Brands was launched in the UK in 2016 by industry experts Fabrice Limon and Barrie Wilson. It launched in Australia in 2020 with Patrick Zeine. Combining an extensive on and off trade global network with a background in sales and 40 years building relationships, the company specialises in getting brands into market.

Ramsbury’s award-winning Single Estate Gin and Vodka is available to the on and off-trade and is available for purchase online nationwide at Dan Murphy’s.
