Transexual and cavity searches feature in new Bearded Lady ads

New ads from bourbon brand Bearded Lady aren't "controversial for controversy's sake", despite them featuring transexuals and a police offer about the perform a cavity search.

Chris Illman, marketing manager at the bourbon brands' owner Vok Beverages,  told Mumbrella "Yes, we have pushed the envelope with this campaign to come up with something disruptive, but the idea was never simply about generating PR by being controversial."

The ads, two of which are included below, are described as "brave and edgy" and are part of a campaign created by CumminsRoss, carrying the slogan "Stay Strong".

According to Mumbrella the ads will run outdoors, in print and online – except for the urinal ad (below) which will only feature in Maxim and Zoo magazines.
