What the company says
Trumpeters represent a celebration of the simple things in life such as sharing an ice-cold beverage with a friend or enjoying a tipple whilst watching a set from your favourite band.

The recipe is a twist on an original New Orleans recipe and draws upon influence from 1920’s New Orleans when alcoholic ice tea was drunk illegally across speakeasies during prohibition. The original New Orleans recipe has now been refined and Trumpeters has urged the public to ‘taste rare perfection’ found within an ice-cold bottle of the alcoholic ice tea.

Trumpeters has been created by Hayden Newton, from Victoria, who saw a gap in the market to deliver an authentic and innovative product. Hayden’s vision came after a tasting session with a close friend who owns a tea importation business and from that moment he set upon creating one of Victoria’s first alcoholic ice teas.

Hayden believes that the new product will target a market ready for a change from cider and beer. Hayden said “What we have created at Trumpeters is a taste that really is unique and different to any other ice teas on the market. We are passionate in using only the most premium tea leaves to guarantee such a distinctive taste and that is why we pick seasonally from organic high grown plantations in Sri Lanka.”

The ice tea is extracted by use of a unique cold infusion method to ensure the most desired flavour is extracted. Pure super premium vodka is then added and gentle carbonation brings the refreshing nature of the iced tea – perfect for the summer season.

“It’s a great drink for summer BBQ’s but can also be sold in the on-trade using a pitchers and giving Trumpeters a cocktail feel with ice and citrus fruits.”
