Police are appealing for public assistance following the break in on the weekend where the vandals allegedly drained ten tanks of mixed wine.

The winery told police that estimates about 490,000 litres of wine had been destroyed according to a release by the NSW Police.

Food Magazine contacted a number of wineries in the area, however nobody had heard of the apparent vandalism attempt.

One winery staff member told Food Magazine said that most wineries in the region had significant insurance policies for just such a circumstance.
